The Bhawanipur Education Society College 22nd November 2025 | Gitanjali Stadium
The Bhawanipur Education Society College successfully hosted its 5th Athletic Meet – URJA 2025 on 22nd November 2025 at Gitanjali Stadium, witnessing an enthusiastic turnout of over 600 attendees and 414 athlete entries across multiple track and field events for both boys and girls.
This year’s event featured Javelin Throw, Shot Put, Discus Throw, and Long Jump as field events, along with 100m, 200m, and 400m races as track events. The highlight remained the much-anticipated URJA Mixed Relay Race, comprising three boys and one girl per team, which drew immense excitement from participants and spectators alike.
URJA 2025 commenced with an electrifying atmosphere as the Torch Lighting Ceremony set the tone for the day. The torch was carried sequentially by Mr. Bhavin Parmar, Mr. Rupesh Gandhi, and Mr. Mani Kant, before being handed over to Management Members Shri Umesh Bhai Thacker and Shri Jitendra Bhai Shah.
This was followed by a march-past by the College Collectives, led by the NCC, displaying impeccable discipline and unity. The National Flag was hoisted, and the National Anthem was sung, followed by the raising of the College Flag. Prof. Dilip Shah, Rector & Dean of Student Affairs, administered the Oath of Sportsmanship, reaffirming the college’s commitment to integrity and fair play.
The opening ceremony also featured vibrant cultural performances, including a soulful musical piece by Crescendo and dynamic Eastern, Western, and Bollywood dance segments by Flames.
The Sports Meet was officially declared open by Shri Jitendra Bhai Shah.
The stadium was transformed into a festive sporting arena with colourful flags, stalls, tents and professionally marked tracks, enhancing the competitive spirit throughout the day. All field and track events concluded by 4:00 PM, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony.

All events were officiated by eight neutral referees from the Athletic Training Centre, ensuring transparent and fair evaluation throughout the meet.
The college arranged two buses for student transportation to and from Gitanjali Stadium for their convenience.

The event was meticulously coordinated by the Dean’s Office, with special guidance from Prof. Dilip Shah, Prof. Minakshi Chaturvedi, and Prof. Darshna.
