The Bhawanipur Education Society College,
Kolkata
The National Service Scheme(NSS) unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a Heritage Walk for its students. The idea was to showcase the glorious history of the city and spread its significance. Students were taken for the walk on December 13 from 8 :00 am to 11 : am.
A total of fifteen students were taken out for the walk. Along with them, there were a few Professors from our college. The walk was conducted by the Historian & Blogger Mr. Rangan Datta who made us visit the several historic places and narrated the significance of each. It started from the Manicktala crossing hailing from Maicktala Cemetery, Parasnath Mandir, Jain Dadabari, Nakhuda Graveyard, Ram Mohan Library, Kolkata Police Museum and House of Ray. The walk was a great peep into the glorious history of our city.
The Heritage Walk was not just a successful one and but also quite memorable. Thus, special thanks to our college Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Divyesh Shah for organising organizing such a wonderful walk for its students and for keeping us motivated throughout.
