Holi, the festival of colours, is all about togetherness, celebration, and joy. To embrace the spirit of Holi, The Bhawanipur Education Society College celebrated Fagun 2025 on the 10th of March 2025 to express gratitude to the non-teaching staff of the institution who contribute significantly to the growth and maintenance of the college. With a “Radha-Krishna” themed Holi celebration, Fagun 2025 took place in the Jubilee Hall of the college campus from 4:30 P.M. onwards. As the guests entered the hall, student volunteers applied tilak on their foreheads, setting an auspicious tone for the rest of the celebration.
The event was kickstarted by members of the Crescendo Collective, who presented beautiful Hindi and Bengali renditions of songs capturing the essence of Holi encouraging the audience to sing along. Soon after, the Rector and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah, addressed the audience and acknowledged that the non-teaching staff are the institution’s backbone and unsung heroes without whom the college would not prosper or sustain itself. He took to the stage and invited non-teaching staff members in two rounds to felicitate them with a token of appreciation. The audience was further entertained by Aarohan, a team from the Enact Collective, who performed a playful skit that included lively dance performances to some of the most-loved Holi songs. The enthusiasm was infectious, as the audience couldn’t help but rise from their seats to join in and dance along. Adding another layer of fun, a retro Bollywood game had the audience guessing famous songs from just a tune, making them nostalgic for simpler times. Finally, the Western and Eastern teams of the Flames Collective concluded the event with spectacular dance performances that brought the spirit of Holi to life. Towards the end, student volunteers and guests came together to play “Phoolon Ki Holi”, joyfully tossing flower petals in the air and dancing tirelessly.
The event was not just a celebration but a heartfelt tribute to all those who work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth functioning of the institution. Through colours, music, and gratitude, Fagun 2025 truly embodied the spirit of Holi!
