At 4:00 PM on March 5, 2025, Rotary Sadan witnessed a powerful and inspiring dance performance as part of “SHAKTIRUPENO” organized by Akashvani Kolkata under the guidance of Prasar Bharati. The event, which aimed to celebrate women’s strength and resilience, featured talented dancers from The Bhawanipur Education Society College and Shri Shikshayatan College.
Representing The Bhawanipur Education Society College, five proficiently consummate dancers namely Sanskriti Sen, Shrila Giri, Aritri Bhattacharjee, Prantika Kundu, and Diya Das delivered a mesmerizing performance, choreographed by Smt. Sanchaita Munshi Saha, the mentor and constant pillar of support for The Bhawanipur Education Society College’s dance collective of Flames, Eastern team. Prof Dr Souraja Tagore’s guidance for the team and the event is also highly regarded and respected.
Themed “Jaago Naari”, the performance beautifully captured the essence of women’s empowerment, encouraging them to embrace their strength and potential. As a token of appreciation, all the participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their dedication and artistry.
Objective: The competition was organised with the aim of celebrating the timeless legacy of Rabindranath Tagore by fostering intellectual and creative engagement among students.
