REPORT : Predicting Markets Using Technical Analysis
The Department of Business Administration of the Bhawanipur Education Society College conducted a Seminar on “Predicting Markets using Technical Analysis” – on 3rd December 2022 at the 5th Floor Seminar Hall of the BBA Campus.
Khushi Soni and Shlokdeep Rai, Students of 3rd Year, BBA were the emcees for the event. They welcomed the Speaker Shri. Biswanath Chakraborty,who is a senior faculty at BSE Institute Limited. He was felicitated with flowers and a memento, by Ambika Baheti, a 3rd Year BBA Student.
Furthermore, they also invited Prof. Dr. Suman K. Mukherjee – Director General of the BBA Department, Prof. Dilip Shah-Dean of Student Affairs and Dr. Tridib Sengupta- Coordinator of the BBA Department to join the speaker on the dais.
The emcees then welcomed the Faculty members of the BBA Department. Students of both the B.com and the BBA department joined the session in large numbers.
The seminar began with Prof. Dilip Shah, Dean of Student Affairs sharing his insights on the Market and how he is also an avid investor in stocks. He also shared a few personal tips with students and encouraged them to learn more about the markets and not be scared of investing in it.
After the Dean, Prof. Dr. Suman K. Mukherjee took to the podium and spoke at length about the infinite possibilities that can be explored in the stock market and students must be abreast with the economic fluctuations that affect the market.
The speaker then took the centre stage and introduced the topic. He delved into the intricacies of the Stock market with the help of a Power Point presentation. The said presentation continued for nearly an hour and it proved to be a very interesting and interactive brainstorming exercise. It was wonderful to see students showing a lot of enthusiasm and the event was a great success.
During the penultimate part of the session, Dr. Tridib Sengupta, the BBA Coordinator, summed up the entire session through some interesting insights.
The event ended with a vote of appreciation by Khushi Soni to everyone who contributed to the event’s success. The volunteer team along with the convenor of the event, Prof. Jayjit Chakraborty did a great job at maintaining the decorum which led to the smooth flow of the event.
