We all have to speak in public from time to time, some do well, some badly, and the outcome strongly affects the way people think about us.
But the good news is that, with thorough preparation and practice, we can overcome our nervousness and perform exceptionally well. To help us do the same a workshop on “Public Speaking” was organised by Ms. Rupasree Biswas on the 20th of June, 2021 at 5pm.
The event began with an introduction of the speaker by the emcee of the event student coordinator Sarvesh Mundhra. Post which Ms. Rupasree Biswas went on to provide tips on public speaking under different situations, she with the help of her team members and a presentation explained to students, as to how they can improve their communication skill and she narrated a real-life story of her mother. This was followed by a question-and-answer session.
Post the session Prof. Dilip Shah spoke on the art of Public Speaking and the event ended with a vote of thanks by the emcee. The session was attended by about 80 students.
When the students graduating from The Bhawanipur College were asked ‘what were the most memorable moments you had during these last 3-year journeys? Eventually, every student with the same enthusiasm said, “it’s the Graduation Felicitation Ceremony”. Every year this ceremony takes place at Kalamandir or the GD Birla auditorium. Rangoli, also known as Kolam or Muggu, is a folk art from India in which patterns are created on the floor in living rooms or courtyards using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals . The Rangoli competition was held on the Valia Hall.
