Research Methodologies & Films
The Department of English organised a special lecture on 30th April 2022 for the postgraduate students of the department. In this session, Dr. Siddhartha Biswas, Head of Department, English, The University of Calcutta, was invited to deliver a lecture on “Research Methodologies & Films”.
The lecture was conducted to familiarize the postgraduate students with research methodologies, with special focus on films. The session focused on locating film studies within a particular culture and introducing them to film language, and film analysis and study.
The lecture was followed by a question-answer session where the enthusiastic students posed their queries and observation, further expanding the discussion. This special lecture initiated the students into exploring research beyond the confines of traditional literature.
