NSS unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College has been working tirelessly along with NGO Nirman Foundation toward spreading awareness in Health, Hygiene, Sanitation, and Safe Water . This time we had chosen Sarangabad High School located at Budge Budge, South 24 Parganas for the above objective. The School has around 1100 students in classes V to XII. The main focus of this program was to encourage the students to incorporate basic hygiene practises for a healthy living. To connect with the cross section the medium was fun and games. The Whole program consiststed of Conducting Indoor games, Quizing, Friendly football match, consulting session with Doctors on Health and Hygiene and Hygiene kit, Books, Bags, food packet distribution. The occasion was graced by the august presence of Shri Subrata Mukhopadhyay, Dr. Parvina Bano who encouraged us to conduct more such programs on health and hygiene in many other schools of West Bengal. NSS Programme Officer Prof. Divyesh Shah, Prof. Vasundhara Mishra along with 25 NSS Volunteers co-ordinated the whole event to a successful completion and bid adieu to the students with a promise to have another such program in future.
An event to flaunt your knowledge on English grammar is certainly JAM. The rules for JAM were the classic rules which include interruption due to stammering, grammatical errors, abbreviation or use of slangs and Americanism. It surely is an event or in simple, a game that baffles everyone.
