Social media is an innate part of our lives today. Our life revolves around these social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. The amount of time that we spend online is quite certainly more than what we think. As per research, an average social media user spends around two and half hours daily on social media. This figure is enough to help one comprehend the significance of social media platforms and having an active presence on them.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a workshop on ‘Personal Branding through Instagram’ on the 15th of March, 2022. The speaker for the event was Mr. Deepak Pareek- a social media influencer on personal growth and a proud 5 times TEDx Speaker. He is also the co-founder of Career Keeda. Prof. Mohit Shaw was the moderator of the event.
The event’s motto was to help individuals build a strong and impactful presence on Instagram and help them identify the importance of personal branding on Instagram. Mr. Deepak Pareek spoke about the much-needed dos and don’ts of Instagram marketing. Various strategic factors like reels, posts, hashtags, and Instagram algorithm were discussed. He then spoke about brand collaborations and how to make money out of it. He specifically mentioned concepts like ‘content resonation’, ‘sticking to a particular niche’ and ‘creation of content with purpose’, to help individuals uplift their accounts.
This particular session was a huge success as it had a lot to offer in terms of individual branding which is the need of the hour today. The students found it really helpful and innovative as it checked all the boxes for them.
