The Departments of Political Science, Sociology, and Journalism & Mass Communication (JMC), in association with the NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College, conducted an awareness session on Environment and Development on 6th May 2025 as part of an outreach programme at the All Bengal Women’s Union, located at Elliot Road, Kolkata – 700016.
To support the infrastructural needs of the institution, forty plastic chairs were donated. After this, students gave two presentations on Sustainable Development, which were followed by interactive sessions with the students of the organization’s school. Two short films were also screened, addressing pressing environmental issues such as air pollution and water scarcity. These screenings were followed by interactive discussions too.
Twenty-one students and seven teachers from the three departments of the college participated in the programme. The event concluded on a warm note, with food packets distributed to the students of the organization’s school who had participated in the session.
