The earth once again revolved and we celebrated it with the new batch, their arrival, with a heralding mission, Orientation. Over three days and twelve slots, the newcomers were invited to encapsulate the ambience of The Bhawanipur College, to witness its recurring accomplishments and to have a glimpse of our great college. The inquisitive minds were greeted with a warm welcome and their smiles enlivened the atmosphere of the auditorium. Spanning from morning to evening, the three-day programme was conducted on 12th, 13th and 14th of September, 2022. Several anchors took to introduce the prospects and feats of the college. Some of them who spoke at length were Tushita K Chhugani, Marveena Tiwari, Deepti Pancharia, Reiyaan Illahi, Om Pachisia. They were cheerful and confident, and no doubt it was reflected well on the freshers.
The new batch has stepped into a field where not only connection, integration, interaction, innovation, emotion, capabilities and success are sought but pupils essentially learn, grow and excel. Our USP is our students. BESC has unleashed a quiet revolution by unfettering the students from classroom and textbook oriented pedagogy. Students are exposed to real life situations and to acknowledged experts from respective domains aimed at helping students turn their passions into profession, with innumerable seminars, workshops, factory visits and lectures aimed to provide high-quality education through innovative learning methods.
Whatcaptivated the students were the host of options they would get under the banner of ‘Career Connect’ like Corporate Communication, Public Speaking, Google Workspace, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing, Dynamics of Capital Market, Tally Prime, ERP Sap, ACCA are among the many short-term courses offered as part of this initiative.
Prof. Meenakshi Chaturvedi emphasized the importance of going about with these certified courses along with college academics as they would be contributory in making one industry ready.
Following this Collectives – activities built around core interests of the students were presented, from Quizzard, BEST, Eco for B-ites, Setu, Phenomenon, AON, MUN, Vox Populi. Share Skills, Bull’s Eye, Expressions, Art in me and the others were duly introduced by the senior student representatives of that collective. Also, the NCC and the NSS collectives detailed the works that they did. In fact, there are eighteen collectives that lead students towards enlightenment even as they are busy enjoying the things, they like doing.
Towards the end, Flames, Crescendo, Enact and Fashionista dazzled the assembled with their performances; thus inviting them to enjoy the new college life. The neophytes were escorted by the representatives to the major infrastructural attractions of the college like the Knowledge Resource Centre, Food Court and Games Arena.
