Inaugural ceremony was preceded by a welcome speech by Prof. Dilip Shah. In his speech, he described how honoured he is to have the two brilliant chief judges amongst us and also spoke about the flow of the events. An act on Demonetisation was enacted by the Enact Society of the college soon after. Right after the performance, Dr. Sameer Dutta (HOD, Science Department) felicitated Mr. Pankaj Parekh and Mr. Mikhail Guesev. Students hailing from Ashutosh College, Lady Brabourne, Loreto College, Gokhale Memorial Girl’s College, JD Birla Institute and Bhawanipur College were observed participating in the events.
The program started with the 1st event called Paper presentation. Two rounds were played in turn with 10 mins each to showcase presentation. The next event was Panel Discussion in which three chief guests were invited to host the event along with the Director General of our College, Prof. Dr. Suman Mukerjee. The three chief guests were Ms. Mamta Binani, Mr. Dipanjan and Mr. Sen. They spoke about the provided topic (India 20/20) assuring the maintenance of the interest of the audience. Many other events flowed in sequence right after the other hailing from E Connect to Eco shots to Guesseconomics to Econundrum.
Finally, the prizes were awarded and winners were announced. The first position was secured by Loreto College whereas the second was occupied by Lady Brabourne College. As a form of celebration, a DJ night was organised at the end of the event for the college students. Thus, the event was not just successful but also memorable and educative. I am also extremely grateful to our Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah for his amazing guidance and constant support. Lastly, I am also thankful to the outstanding volunteers for their sheer hard work and dedication towards the event.
