On the 28th of Jan our college organized yet another spectacular event on the French Writer Victor Hugo’s Magnum opus- Les Miserables. Based on a socially unstable backdrop, it portrays the struggle of the protagonist as a common man. A session with a number of reviews opinions and information about the story line and the man himself was participated by our fellow mates with great enthusiasm. The event was marked by the presence of dignitaries like Antara Banerjee, Nivedita Dey, Debraj Lahiri and Palak Chokhani. Even our professors like Kaushik Chatterjee and Mohit Jain recited their own works as a token of gratitude towards Hugo. The session had the radiance of knowledge and students enjoyed while learning to the fullest.
The Indian soil is gifted with singers who have had attained legendary fame in their milieu and afield. We wish to hear them forever. The solemn and untimely death of many musical artists has left us sobered. But we reconcile to the quote, “Man is mortal, his contributions make him immortal.” The name and fame …
