The purpose of Fresher’s Party is to comfy new students in a homely atmosphere and to inspire their creative whims to uplift their confidence. 6th Semester students of the Department of Chemistry organized a much-awaited Freshers’ Welcome ‘PoSiTrON’ on Wednesday, 30th March 2022 at the Concept Hall of our college to bid welcome to 4th and 2nd-Semester students. This event has been sponsored by the Management. After the tremendous surge of covid, their effort came new breath in the department. In the inaugural session welcome address was given by Dr. Subhabrata Ganguly, Teacher-In-Charge; Dr. Samir Kanti Datta, The Dean of Science; Prof. Dilip Shah, Dean of Student Affairs and Dr. Pinki Saha Sardar, V.P. Admin & V.P. Science Section.
Followed by the inauguration, the 6th-Semester students felicitated their beloved class Teachers. Freshers along with their Seniors exhibited Talent Show by ringing guitars, performing solo and group dances and recitations. Semester-6 student, G Adarsh performed in a solo flute event. A stunning Ramp walk had been also organized by our students of Semester 6, 4, and 2 under the judgment of some Semester-6 students. The audience enjoyed the fashion show, and they encouraged the participants by making hooding sounds. Mr. Debarun Chakraborty had been decided as the winner of the fashion show. Mr. and Ms. freshers were selected among the Semester-4 students. Mr. Sinchan Dasgupta and Ms. Ayushi Rai were
selected as Mr. and Ms. freshers respectively. Semester-6 students, Mr. Ranit Laha, Ms. Sagarika Chatterjee, Mr. Yogesh Patil, Ms. Nagma Nazrin, Mr. Ankit Kumar Gupta, Ms. Brinda Goyal, and others took responsibility for anchoring and event orientation. The event was finally concluded after amazing group dances by all the students. Refreshments were served after the program. The students from other departments also enjoyed this event and made the program a grand success.

The students of our college organised “KNOWLEDGE ADDA” on 19th July 2016 .This was basically a group discussion on the topic of ‘Reservation in India’ which was moderated by Prof. Dilip Shah.
