The students of The Bhawanipur Education Society College celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and his dream of a clean India, volunteered to undertake a cleanliness awareness initiative on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. This event was organized by the Departments of Education and Political Science wherein the students performed a short street play to emphasize upon the importance of cleanliness and anti-littering in the campus and the nearby surroundings.A major focus of the initiative was to promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives to plastics and non-biodegradable materials.The students along with the faculty members also marched down the streets of Lala Lajpat Rai Sarani, Ashutosh Mukherjee Road, Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose Road and Sarat Bose Road holding placards and roaring slogans to eliminate the use of “single-use plastics”. The event began with the singing of Gandhiji’s favourite songs, followed by an address to the participants of the march by the Teacher-in-Charge Dr. Suchandra Chakravarty. She spoke about the importance of the motto of Reduce and Recycle. This event was organized as a part of series of events which included a seminar on Training of Citizenship in Undergraduate Colleges and a cleaning drive at Mullick Ghat. Earth Day Organization too, collaborated with the college for the cleaning drive and the cleanliness awareness initiative.
DAY 1 Youth Empowerment Society (YES) organised an informative and developmental programme, PDP (Personality Development Programme) for the students. It was conducted in 2 sessions for 5 days, the first one by Mr Jay Shankar and the other by Mrs Gargi Sen.
The Phenomenon collective of The Bhawanipur Educational Society College organised a students’ discussion session on 13th December 2021 at the college campus. The topic was “METAVERSE”, the topic which will be leading the future as assumed by many major scientists and analysts. Metaverse is a hypothesized representation of the Internet, supporting online 3-D virtual environments through conventional personal computing, …
At 5:30pm on Monday the 4th April ’16, at the college turf, about 150 students along with staff members assembled for the opening of BFC Tournament. The evening started with handing over of gift hampers to the staff members in recognition of their services to the college.
On the 10 th of May, 2016, the college was abuzz with the number of Professors and visitors who had come to see an exhibition of books, which was one of its kind at the Bhawanipur College.
