Objective of the event: The course was designed to impart practical skills and scientific understanding related to the preparation of everyday household cleaning materials.
Brief description of the event: The course was carefully designed to provide participants with both theoretical insights and practical training related to the preparation of everyday household cleaning materials. Through hands-on sessions, students gained valuable experience in formulating a variety of products, including disinfectant, liquid handwash, dishwashing liquid, toilet cleaner, floor cleaner, and glass cleaner. This initiative strengthened the laboratory skills of the participants, also improve their scientific understanding of the chemistry behind commonly used cleaning agents. By bridging classroom knowledge with practical applications.
Outcome of the event: Participants successfully acquired practical skills in product formulation, improved their laboratory techniques, and gained scientific insight into the chemistry of everyday cleaning agents. This training programme is designed to bridge basic chemical knowledge with practical skill development, empowering participants to understand the science behind cleaning products. They also learn the formulation logic, ingredient functionality, and safety measures involved in preparing common household cleaners. Hands-on sessions enable participants to prepare products like handwash, floor cleaner, and dishwashing liquid in a real laboratory setting. Students can discover the use of biodegradable and skin-safe components to promote environmentally responsible practices. Ultimately this programme encourage participants to apply their knowledge for personal use, community awareness, or entrepreneurial ventures.
