“ Tween talks” became the talk of the college today. Undoubtedly, this seminar was able to win not just the interest of the students but was also one of the most appreciated events this college has hosted. This seminar, “Tween talks” was held in Bhawanipur College on August 31, 2016 between 10am to 11am at the concept hall of the college. The purpose was to help students combat their teenage problems. As we all know our teenage years are the very basis of who we turn out to be gradually. It is the foundation of our future personality. So it is very important to groom ourselves and to make the right choices in this age bracket.
The seminar commenced with Professor Dilip Shah briefing to the students about the seminar and its importance. Very soon we met the main contributors of the event- Miss. SugandhaRajkumar and Miss. Priya Ray Choudhury who anchored this wonderful seminar, making it interesting and helpful for the students. Together these ladies showered on us the knowledge about ways to combat different psychological problems one after the other. Starting from ways to get over relationship problems and depression, they enlightened us with the best possible ways to overcome them. Next what they spoke about was another major problem faced by every student at some point i.e. confusion regarding career choices which leads to underestimation of self – worth, eventually leading to stress. We often tend to get addicted to harmful addictives which sometimes goes overboard for some of us. They told us how to gain self control and not give in to these wrong addictions. This entire seminar was an interactive one and both the anchors and the audience were involved in a continuous doubt clearing session.
“This seminar was much required”, said a student as an audience.
“Tween talks” was most appreciated because it dealt best with the psyche of the students.
“Not only was the seminar relatable but also memorable”, said a volunteer. Therefore, with such amazing feedbacks it is easy to conclude with the fact that the event was a big success. Along with the students, the staff too had a wonderful time understanding the psychology of the students and the ways to help their students get over their teenage problems.
