One of the major festivals of India, Holi is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety on the full moon day in the month of Fagun, like no other festival. It disregards differences and brings all sections of the society together into one fraternity. Hence, the students of The Bhawanipur College dedicated the pre-holi celebrations to the non-teaching staff of the college for without their support nothing would ever be possible.
Rain could not spoil the celebratory mood and the venue for the event shifted to the 6th floor auditorium on the 19th of March’16, where students played the ‘pushp Holi’, which is smearing flowers on each other, along with hasya kavita and folk music songs, dance on the rhythm of dafli and mouth-watering Holi delicacies were the other highlights of the day.
The non-teaching staff was felicitated by Prof.Dilip Shah, the Dean of Students Affairs and Dr. Sandip Dan, Rector. Special token of appreciation was handed over to Govind bhaiya the Canteen Caretaker for completing 40 years of service in the institution & to Singh Ji for his unrelenting service to the Society.
Thus, the joyous and colourful festival strengthened the forgotten ties. Tribute to the Unsung HEROES of our College The Non-Teaching Staff.
