Objective of the Event:
To provide practical exposure to manufacturing processes, brand management, industrial safety norms, and workforce structuring within a large-scale textile industry.
Brief Description of the Event:
The students of the Department of Business Administration visited the Agarpara unit of LTK Industries—makers of the innerwear brand Macho Hint (formerly Amul Macho). The session began with a safety induction led by the EHS team, followed by a guided tour of various departments: Knitting, Cutting, Quality Testing, Sewing, Finishing, and Packaging.
Students observed automation and manual operations in real-time, along with key quality assurance measures such as GSM testing, colorfastness evaluation, and shrinkage checks. Special emphasis was given to their women-centric workforce model, cost optimization strategies, and rebranding approach. The visit highlighted how manufacturing integrates HR, branding, and supply chain management.
Outcome of the Event:
The visit helped students gain practical insights into industrial operations, safety protocols, brand transformation, and inclusive HR policies. It bridged academic learning with hands-on observation, enriching their understanding of real-world business processes.
