The Bhawanipur Education Society College celebrated International Mother Language Day with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor. The event aimed to honor linguistic diversity and promote the significance of preserving languages.
On 18th February The celebration began with a street play performed by the students at Ranuchaya Mancha (near Bangla Academy), highlighting the historical significance of International Mother Language Day and the sacrifices made for linguistic rights. The play effectively conveyed the importance of language in shaping identity and culture, drawing the attention of the audience and passersby.
The performances beautifully reflected the essence of the occasion, emphasizing the need to respect and preserve linguistic heritage.
Additionally, several students from various colleges attended the program, making the event more diverse and engaging. Their presence and participation enriched the celebration, fostering a shared appreciation for linguistic and cultural heritage.
on 19th February 2025 at the 4A Auditorium on our college premises. The Cultural event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and guests, including several teachers from the College.
The day was a mesmerizing musical performance by Shabnam Meghali, a renowned Rabindra Sangeet artist from Visva-Bharati (Sangeet-Bhaban). A national scholarship holder from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), she captivated the audience with her soulful renditions of Rabindra Sangeet, beautifully emphasizing the richness of Bengali musical heritage.
Following her performance, students of the college showcased their talents through various cultural programs, including songs, recitations, and dance performances. Their enthusiastic participation added to the vibrancy of the celebration, making it a truly memorable event. More than 100 of participants including faculty members and students were engaged the event.
Outcome: The program successfully honored the spirit of International Mother Language Day, emphasizing the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity. It served as a tribute to the beauty of mother languages and the need to preserve them for future generations.
With the Placement Drive drawing closer, The Bhawanipur Education Society College offered its students an opportunity to improve their prospects of securing a position.
