The Department of English organized a seminar in collaboration with APTI Plus Academy for Civil Services which was intended to instruct students on “How to prepare for Civil Services along with Graduation” on 16th April 2024 from 2.30 p.m. in Room Number 511.
The event was attended by undergraduate students from the Departments of English, History, Political Science and Sociology, and English postgraduate students as well.
Two eminent faculty members from Apti Plus Academy, namely Mr. Akhilesh Srivastav and Mr. Sumit Sharan addressed the students, providing them with an extensive overview of the syllabus and question pattern for UPSC examinations. The respective sessions also included segments of motivational speech which encouraged the students to cultivate a positive and industrious attitude, and integrity of character which are requisites for qualifying the rigorous UPSC examination process.
The session was followed by an open house quiz competition, and students who could answer correctly won prizes. Certificates have been issued for all students who have attended the seminar.
The event has served to familiarise students with the prestigious career choice presented by Civil Services.
