Perhaps there is no moment quite like the one that makes one feel proud of achievements of their children. And when they are 189, the joy is magnified. On the 8th of September, 2022 these bright stars of The Bhawanipur College claimed their stake to fame as they stood decorated with shining medals and a neat folder holding a certificate, and the fee exempted cheque. Yes, the fee for the first semester was refunded and exceedingly subsidized for the subsequent academic years. So, it was a celebration of learning felicitating their quest for education and academic excellence.
The day was set rolling by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by an inspiring speech by Dr. Suman Mukerjee, who focused on Vision and Mission as the way forward in life. One must work hard towards ones vision and know what you are doing, to set progress on the path of righteousness, honesty, spine to speak up and have your own opinions as YOU are the Future.
Subsequently Prof. Dilip Shah, the Dean of Students Affairs, stressed that it is the partnership between them and the institution as the major contributor of the institution’s success and excellence. And hope to see them actively involved in the college initiatives that go to show their commitment and shared passion for the Institute.
And then the scholars were called upon one after another to collect their medals and folders amidst the applause. Present on the occasion were members from the Management Smt. Nalini Parekh, Smt. Renuka Bhatt, Sri Jogesh Shah, Smt. Ameeta Patel, Sri Umesh Thakker along with the Teacher in charge, Dr. Subhabrata Gangopadhyay, V.P Admin & V.P Science Department, Dr. Pinki Saha Sardar and V.P Arts Department Prof. Debjani Ganguly, who felicitated the Bhawanipur Scholars.
Pratik Jhunjunwala a scholarship holder was invited to give a vote of thanks. He expressed his gratitude towards the institution and how the institution focuses on a holistic development of its students.
Closing remarks were presented by Dr. Pinki Shah, she congratulated and lauded the hard work of all the awardees.
The ceremony ended with a promise to repeat on-feat of class 12 and come back for the convocation as the intervening two years would elapse soon.
