Loreto College September 27th to 29th 2018. First the shock. The hosts were shocked when the Bhawanipr Education Society College (BESC) fielded candidates in all the events – events that were as diverse as psychology is from sports. Events that the hosts admitted, were so spread out that they had trouble thinking them up. As for BESC taking part in all of them – is not only a silent testimonial of the sporting spirit of the college but is also a scream about the diversity of talents that the college nurtures actively.
Sangam – the Loreto College fest needs no introduction, preeminent as it is in status. Known for its strict discipline and the overwhelming desire to abide by the rule book, the college fest may be a tad drab by the city’s vibrant standards (set up with no contribution in small measure by the BESC) but is still one of the most looked forward to college festivals. The fact that more than ten colleges participated in the three-day extravaganza is an endorsement of the statement.
In the end, BESC beat almost everyone else to get the second position in terms of sheer numbers and emerged winners of the Rotating Shield of the Sangam Fest.
BESC students triumphed in the following sections:
First Positions:
Nail Story, Line Talk, Click and Flick, Embellish, Social Quest, History through a lens, Book Amalgam, Ad Spoof, Actomania, Table Tennis (Boys), table Tennis (Girls), Badminton Boys, Footloose.
Second positions:
Mock News room, Cinescape, Creative Writing, Two minutes to fame, Aranya, Group Singing, Eastern Group Dance.
Third Positions:
Stage Play, faith Quest, Book Cover Designing, Google Doodle, Psyche Up, Keep it Real.
