The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a two days workshop on self defence on 16th and 17th of February,2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. On 16th Feb it was being held at the Turf. Our respected Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah, welcomed Shihan Anil Kumar Ram (6th Dan Black Belt from Japan) and presented him with a token of appreciation. Prof. Meenakshi Chaturvedi gave a brief introduction about him to the students. With the assistance of Sensei Puja Yadav (1st Dan Black Belt from Japan) and Sensei Pratik Seal(3rd Dan Black Belt) , he conducted the self defence workshop with around 30 Be-ites who came to attend the workshop.
On 17th Feb it was being held at the Concept Hall. After a brief introduction about self defence by Shihan Anil Kumar Ram he further explained the significance of Karate in our daily life, then he initiated the workshop by warm-ups and some practical examples. The students comprising of both boys and girls enthusiastically participated and enjoyed themselves. On both the days participants were equally energetic and dedicated towards the workshop.
The event ended with a short speech by our Dean Prof. Dilip Shah. The event would not have been possible without the help and support of the volunteers namely Ashwini Kumar, Pallavi Sinha and our photographer Saika Tarannum.
