Stories are wonderful pieces of prose that enable us to make sense of our world and pass on knowledge and value to ourselves as well as to future generations. Keeping this in mind a fiction writing competition was conducted by the Bhawanipur Education Society College’s Collective, Phenomenon on Friday, 16th September 2022 at the college library.
In the beginning, our judge Ms. Samiksha Khanduri, who is an educator and author gave a speech regarding the objective of the event which was to empower students to predispose themselves towards writing and literature in the era where social dominates, aspiring to ignite the creative spark in the students.
The competition commenced at 11 am with 50 budding writers all given a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes to whip up their creativity in a fictional narrative of their own. All the participants did a commendable job of bringing to life the stories from their minds onto paper. The winner of the competition was Kanak Bang, whose story was enticing to read for a narrative of fiction. The event achieved its objectives to direct students towards the creative path of writing and active expression through the medium of writing stories.
SHOULD RESERVATION BE ABOLISHED? The students of our college organised “KNOWLEDGE ADDA” on 19th July 2016 .This was basically a group discussion on the topic of ‘Reservation in India’ which was moderated by Prof. Dilip Shah. The discussion began with an introductory session to various sub-topics on the subject.
The students of the Bhawanipur Education Society College organised the Teacher’s Day pageant with a spontaneous display of their affection for the faculty. The highlight, undoubtedly was the sheer variety of talents that the students showcased, matched in equal measures by the spirited participation of the teachers. With the phenomenal changes in educational and information technology, the role of a teacher has undergone dramatic changes. He/she is expected to possess skills and abilities to plan the curriculum, make rational use of the media technology, and design an assessment strategy. This is possible only through a systematic approach to faculty development.
