Introduction to Python, Basic data types: integers, floats, strings, booleans, Basic arithmetic operations, Introduction to variables and variable assignment, Conditional Statements, Control Flow, Functions, Data structures-List, Tuples and their operations, Data visualization, Data Analysis using Pandas, Implementation of Real-life project.
Objective of the Course:
The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with IT industry experts from Dataspace Security Private Limited, successfully conducted a 30-hour Python add-on course for B.Sc. (Major) undergraduate students. This initiative aimed to enhance students’ programming skills and provide them with industry-relevant knowledge. The primary objective of this addon course was-
To provide students with a strong foundation in Python programming
To introduce practical and real-world applications of
To enhance students’ problem-solving abilities and coding
To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry
Course Outcome:
The students exhibited great enthusiasm and dedication throughout the course. Their hard work and commitment to learning were evident in their improved programming skills and successful completion of various real-life challenges. The practical knowledge gained during the course was well-recognized and appreciated. The course concluded with a certificate felicitation ceremony, where students’ efforts and achievements were celebrated. The event was a grand success, with students expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from industry experts.
