Objective of the Activity: To foster a bond among the students from every semester with the new semester, programme was to formally welcome newly admitted students and help them feel comfortable in the new academic environment. The event aimed to encourage interaction between seniors and juniors, promote confidence and self-expression among freshers, and create a joyful and inclusive atmosphere through cultural performances, themed activities, and interactive games.
Brief Description of the Activity: The Freshers’ programme titled “Welcome to the Upside Down” was organized with a unique theme inspired by popular pop culture, which instantly captured the interest of the audience. The event commenced with an energetic introduction song that set an enthusiastic tone for the programme, followed by engaging anchoring that welcomed the freshers in a humorous and interactive manner. The event began with interactive games such as Truth and Dare and the Eggo Treasure Hunt, encouraging active participation among students. This was followed by a lively jamming session and dance performances that kept the energy high. The ‘Mr. and Ms. Fresher’ segment allowed freshers to showcase their talents through ramp walks, singing, and dancing, while a humorous stand-up comedy performance added to the overall enjoyment of the event.
Outcome of the Activity: The Freshers’ Welcome event was highly successful and achieved its objectives effectively. It helped the students to overcome hesitation, boosted their confidence, and fostered strong bonds between seniors and juniors.
