A Lecture Session was organised by the Library Committee on 21 st January, 2019.Mrs.Tilottama Dutta, Former Technology and Digital Services Manager, West Port Library delivered her valuable lecture on
“The Modern Day Library, Transformation from Haloed Precincts to a Public Space. Emerging Trends and Game Changing Technology”.
Her main focus was on the importance, maintenance and improvements of the Modern Day Library. She emphasised on Digitization and creation of a friendly environment which would attract the young generation towards the Library.
The programme started at 3.30 with the welcome note by our Teacher-in-charge, Dr. Suchandra Chakravarty and continued for around an hour. 34 professors of our college and Librarians from Loreto College & Behala College participated in this lecture session. It ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs.Piu Chatterjee.The programme was well knit and successful.
