Physics department arranged an invited talk in collaboration with IQAC and seminar/FDP/Workshop Committee which was delivered by Prof. Anirban Kundu, University of Calcutta. The title of the talk was: The dark and the unbalanced: Where cosmology meets particle physics. The talk was arranged in room number 426 at 12.15 p.m. Dean of Science Dr. Samir K. Datta introduced Prof. Kundu with an enthusiastic talk.
Number of teachers and students attending the seminar was 13 and 73 respectively. Students and teachers from different science streams like Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics, Environment Science attended this talk and were enlightened about the mystery of composition and characteristics of the Universe in the domain of particle physics. A very lucid and enriched description and analysis of this topic delivered by Dr. Kundu bagged a big appreciation from the audience.
Dr. Suparna Basak gave the vote of thanks to management, Teacher-in-Charge, Dean of Science and VP Science for their constant support to make this event a success.
‘Kolkata quiz’ also called ‘Undivided Bengal’ was another event conducted by Mr. Kaushik Banerjee. The host was Nikunj Kothari and the event was held at Room no. 27.
