A seminar on Chat GPT & AI Apps was organised on March 24th, 2023, at the Society Hall of The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The seminar was envisioned by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah, who wanted the students to be more prepared for the future, which is AI. Chat GPT, a trending AI App designed to understand and generate human-like language has now become the go-to platform for text generation since November 2023 and had crossed 1 million users in the first 5 days. Owing to its trending viability the college called upon Industry experts to talk about the future of AI apps.
The first speaker, Mr. Dipak Kumar Singh, a highly experienced and skilled Data Scientist, Chartered Accountant, and Certified Forensic Professional with over 11 years of experience in the industry, began the session on the note of Chat GPT. He asked the participants if they knew how many years it took for AI to finally become relevant, and the audience was surprised to know that AI goes back to the 1950s. He explained the Chat GPT platform in detail & presented a demo of what all Chat GPT can really do. Adding to the Chat GPT features, Mr. Dipak said that the future of AI is such that “The person who is using GPT will be replaced by another person using GPT.”
The next part of the seminar was taken up by Mr. Animesh Das, a Serial Entrepreneur & Brand Strategist with more than 10 years of experience in brand & product-building exposure in 8+ industries. Mr. Animesh began the session around memes & how they are created, further he showed more than 20 odd AI applications to make the creative work easier. All the other AI apps discussed by him were relevant to various industries like content creation, designing, sound design, animation, etc. He explained how the vacuum in jobs across industries can only be filled by skilled AI professionals as the world is heading toward complete automation. He concluded the session on the grounds that one cannot stall technological advancements therefore one should be more focused on becoming Intrapreneur & not an entrepreneur.
The session was a massive success for its relevance to the students who are working in digital spaces. The students were exchanging ideas with the speakers while raising questions as to what really the future of AI is. The event ended with the speakers being felicitated by Prof. Minakshi Chaturverdi, Coordinator BCom Morning & Ms. Samiksha Khanduri, from the Dean’s Office.
