Objective of the event
One career guidance lecture was organized by the Competitive Examination Committee (CEC), Science Section of the college with the objective of guiding students from science section for choosing the right path and training the students for pursuing the higher studies through Joint Entrance Examination for Computer Application (JECA) and National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Application Common Entrance Test (NIMCET).
Brief description of the event
The programme was commenced with the welcome address by one of the coordinator (CEC), Dr Mahua Das. The inspiring inaugural address was followed by the main lecture on the above mentioned examinations delivered by Mr Shibnath Chakraborty. He discussed elaborately on different aspects of the said examination. There was also an interactive session with the participants and students were enlightened with the importance of the same. The programme was ended with vote of thanks delivered by Dr Samir Siddhanta (coordinator, CEC)
Outcome of the event
The programme was found successful to encourage students to join JECA/NIMCET training course. Many of the aspirants asked pertinent questions indicating their willingness to join this course in future to be organized by CEC, science section.
Peer Webinar is a novel initiative taken by the Department of English as an attempt to encourage academic dialogue and widen research perspectives amongst the members of the faculty in the department of English.
