The Bengali Department of The Bhawanipur Education Society College celebrated the 155th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with a cultural programme on Saturday 14 May, 2016 from 10.30 am till 2pm at the 6th Floor College Auditorium. The programme turned out to be a huge success. The ball was set rolling by the opening song sung by Toolip, a student of BBA department of our college. It was followed by the play-reading of Tagore’s Raktakarabi by the faculty members of the various departments of our college, whose performance was remarkable. The programme was further carried forward by the enthralling dance performances by Baisakhi Chakraborty (Faculty member, Commerce) and Souraja Tagore (Faculty member, English) on Rabindrasangeet. The final performance was by the famous singer Mr. Kallol Ghosal who presented a bouquet of Tagore songs.
A field trip was organized by the Departments of Sociology and Political Science for the students of semester 5 and 3, respectively, on December 03, 2022.
