No. of Participants: Thirty six (36)student participantswere present from various departments of the Science Section of The BES College.
Objective of the event:
The workshop was organized by the SWAYAM Committee of The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The objective was to familiarize the students of the Science section of the college with all aspects of the SWAYAM-NPTEL platform.
Further, after the workshop, the Committee wanted to ensure that the students could identify the suitable courses and would know how to navigate through the SWAYAM NPTEL platform for their preparation for GATE and other relevant examinations.
Brief description of the event:
The speakers of the workshop delivered a detailed introduction of the NPTEL platform. All aspects of the platform were navigated and the process of enrolment, coursework, course completion and certification were discussed at length. The prospective career opportunity that the students might acquire through the SWAYAM courses was emphasized. The opportunity for the preparation of GATE examination through this platform was also highlighted. Finally, the Q&A session ensued and the workshop was concluded.
Outcome of the event:
The workshop could reach out to 300 stakeholders of the college and it is hoped that enrolment in the SWAYAM courses will show an upward curve and many students of the college will have successful careers out of it with a detailed understanding of the platform.
