Objective of the Activity: To examine the key shifts in India’s economic and social landscape since the reforms, especially the dynamics between globalisation, growth, welfare strategies, and emerging sectors. By engaging scholars and participants in focused discussions, the seminar aimed to deepen understanding of the forces shaping contemporary policymaking and development in India.
Brief Description of the Activity: The One-day National Seminar brought together renowned economists and scholars to discuss India’s post-reforms policy landscape. Through keynote talks, a panel discussion, and a paper presentation session, the event offered participants a concise yet insightful overview of the major economic shifts, challenges, and opportunities that have shaped the country over the past three decades.
Outcome of the Activity: The event enabled participants to gain clearer insights into the complexities of India’s post-reforms economy, strengthened academic engagement through dialogue with leading economists, and encouraged research-driven perspectives among students.
