The webinar “ Neutrinos: The Nobel Connection” was organized by the department of physics of The Bhawanipur Education society College on 28thAugust, 2020.
The Teacher-in-Charge Dr. S. Chakravarty and Vice principal (Science) Dr. S.K. Datta encouraged and provided essential support to organize the webinar. The college management provided required financial and technical support for the webinar. The webinar was approved by IQAC of the college.
Dr. Arnab Gangopadhyay and Dr. Abir Bhattacharya of department of physics were the convenors of this webinar. Other faculties of the department, Dr. S. Basak, Prof. S. Maitra, Dr. A. Ray, Dr. S. Bhattacharyya and Dr. A. Bhattacharya were organizing members and dealt pivotal roles for the webinar.
Speaker of the webinar was Prof.Srubabati Goswami, FASc, FNASc ,FNA from Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad.
. The flyer was released in internet on 22ndAugust, 2020. The registration was free but mandatory. Registration was conducted through Google form. Total number of registered person was 142. Total number of students and teachers participated from various institutions was 85 .
The platform of the webinar was Google meet. The meet link was distributed to the all registered participants. The webinar started at 5.00 pm . The convener gave a brief introduction of the speaker Prof Goswami. After speaker’s enlightening talk, a brief interactive question-answer session was coordinated by the convener. Questions from chat-box were answered by the speaker. After completion of the interactive session Dr. S. Basak delivered the vote of thanks. The session ended at 7.00pm.
A feedback form was circulated among the participants and e-certificate was sent to through registered e-mail id of the participants.
