Objective of the event: To celebrate Christmas with the under privileged kids.
Brief description of the event: On 23.12.2024, the NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized its annual “Magic Box – Pre-Christmas Celebration” at Panch Darshiya School, a community centre located at the Park Circus Slum. This joyous event aimed to spread festive cheer among the underprivileged children of the community. The celebration commenced with a quiz and riddle game, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from the kids. The excitement was palpable as the kids showcased their knowledge and problem-solving skills. As a token of appreciation and festive spirit. Volunteers distributed stationeries, snacks, chocolates, water bottles, tiffin boxes, and Christmas caps among the children.
Outcome of the event: The event brought happiness to the children residing there in the slum, offering them better educational opportunities, healthcare, and improved economic prospects.
The Departments of History and Geography, in collaboration with the Library Committee, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized a discussion session on the book ‘Mosaics of a Locale: The Stories of Bhawanipur’ entitled on 21st March, 2022 from 3: 30 pm onwards in the 6th Floor Knowledge Resource Center.
