The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a webinar titled “Learn How to Prepare Your CV” by Prof. Mohit Shaw on 15th June 2021 from 04:00 pm for aspiring and job-seeking students. This informative webinar was conducted to assist young minds who want to excel in their job interviews by creating a perfect resume. Around 150 students took active part in the webinar.
The webinar was accessible to all the departments of college. In today’s world conducting a virtual workshop like this, not only stimulates the students’ confidence level but also prepares them for the upcoming hedges in the way of getting their dream jobs.
The session began with the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof Dilip Shah’s welcoming speech which influenced participants and their vision about their respective careers.
One important thing to note down was, that the workshop was already hosted once last month but due to its huge demand by the students, the college decided to arrange this workshop once again.
After this, the mentor for the day Prof. Mohit Shaw (life coach, lecturer, entrepreneur) took over the webinar. His positivity, enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge led to a very interesting and interactive session. Prof Shaw then, presented a sample of a resume for the better understanding of the students.
The key points to remember from the presentation were:
A widely accepted template should be used.
Always include your name and contact number at the top.
Professional and educational degrees should be listed in separate columns.
Skills are one of the most important elements and should be mentioned in the CV.
Including a photograph, wearing formal and sober clothes, increases the weightage of the CV.
After the presentation, participants were asked to drop in their doubts and queries. Many came up with interesting questions. All answers were explained in detail and their doubts were cleared one by one. The webinar was exceptionally impressive, and the response was overwhelming.
