INDUSTRY VISIT TO THACKER DAIRY

The students of Semester I of Afternoon session were taken to Thacker Dairy on 7^th January, 2023. Around 46 students from the Afternoon section along with 5 faculty members from the department went for the industrial trip in Alampur. There, the students got the know-how about the working of the factory. The dairy industry has different types of milk products like ice-cream, paneer, milk, khowa, sweet curd, flavoured milk etc. From the freezing room to the packaging rooms, the tour gave the students an interesting first-hand experience of the industrial process and helps develop the technical knowledge in a realistic and practical way. There they got to know about the different products manufactured by the company, their production process, labelling, packaging, promotions and advertising, the process of transportation and sales. The visit was quite interactive and informative as they got to know about the manufacturing and marketing activities went on in the plant. It was really an enthralling experience for the students as it will help them to get a foothold in the corporate world. A token of appreciation in the form of Memento was presented to the Owner of the company, Mr. Dinesh N. Thacker.
