Objective of the event: The event aimed to promote animal rescue, care, and awareness while fostering a sense of community among pet owners.
Brief description of the event: The Season Three pet marathon, held on January 26, 2025, was a resounding success, bringing together 100 pets and their owners for a fun-filled event that promoted animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and community engagement. Starting from Vivekananda Park and culminating at Lake Ravindra Sarwar Lake, the marathon provided a unique platform for pet owners to bond with their pets while raising awareness about animal care and adoption. Through pre-marathon awareness sessions and interactive activities, participants gained valuable insights into responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Volunteers participated in a root cause awareness session before the marathon, focusing on animal welfare and pet care. A trial run was conducted prior to the main event to ensure everything was in place for a smooth and enjoyable experience. On January 26, 2025, 100 pets (cats, dogs, and birds) participated in the marathon with their owners, starting from Lake Ravindra Sarovar Lake and culminating at Vivekananda Park. The event featured gift hampers for the pets, adding to the excitement.
Outcome of the event: The event’s impact extended beyond the marathon itself, fostering a sense of community among pet owners and enthusiasts while inspiring a greater appreciation for animal care and adoption.
