Superhits RED FM 93.5, renowned for its bold and witty programming under the theme “Bajaate Raho,” conducted the Quiz India Movement (QIM) Season 2, a unique gaming concept on radio that seamlessly blended the reach of both radio and digital platforms, here at The Bhawanipur Education Society College on Friday, June 7th, 2024. This exciting event was hosted in the Society Hall where listeners could participate in weekly quizzes every Friday, starting from June 7th with the chance to win ₹21,000 per question and weekly bumper prizes of ₹1,00,000. The event commenced at 9:00 A.M. and concluded at 9:30 A.M. after which an informal session lasting another 30 minutes that was filled with video recordings, photo sessions, and interactions with the Radio Jockeys (RJs). This social engagement brought together participants, audience members, college representatives, and the three RJs – RJ Anup Verma, RJ Maitreyee Deb, and RJ Anyaman Majumdar – who came to represent the event, famously publicized with the tagline “DIMAAG SE LO KAAM, JEETO LAAKHO KE INAAM.”
Organized by and for the Quizzard Collective of BESC, the event started with a fun and engaging warm-up quiz conducted by RJ Anup Verma. His humorous approach lightened the mood and helped calm the anxious nerves of the participants. This initial quiz, consisting of over ten questions, set a lively tone for the main event. The warm-up was a clever strategy to make participants feel at ease and prepared for the more competitive segment. The main quiz that followed featured over 15 participants, both male and female, all being cricket enthusiasts. The live quiz comprised 15 questions, each interspersed with detailed explanations and answers, fostering an informative and engaging environment. Participants were given a brief period to process the information and select their answers before the correct ones were revealed, creating a dynamic and interactive quiz experience.
Throughout the event, the RJs infused their trademark wit and energy, making the quiz not only challenging but also highly entertaining. Their ability to blend information with humour kept the audience engaged and enthusiastic. After the quiz concluded, the RJs were felicitated by Prof. Nitin Chaturvedi from the B.Com Morning department. This gesture of appreciation highlighted the college’s gratitude towards RED FM and its RJs for bringing such a lively and enriching event to the campus.
The informal post-quiz session allowed everyone to relax and celebrate the successful event. Participants and audience members mingled, captured the moments through videos and photos, and engaged in conversations with the RJs, creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for all. The Quiz India Movement, Season 2, was not just a quiz but a celebration of knowledge, entertainment, and community spirit, reflecting RED FM’s commitment to engaging and entertaining its audience across India.
