In a collaboration with IDP, co-owner of the globally acclaimed IELTS exam, The Bhawanipur Education Society College partnered to conduct an English proficiency test for the students. This online test could be attempted anytime in a day from August 21st to August 27th, aimed to assess students’ language skills in English Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing. The test was designed at the level of IELTS and TOEFL exam takers, who aspire to study abroad. More than 50 students registered for the test, demonstrating their commitment to improving their English language skills. Among them, an impressive 29 students successfully completed the test.
The main aim of this initiative is to assist students in several ways. Firstly, it helps students understand where they excel and where they need to improve in case of language skills. Secondly, for those who are getting ready for global exams like IELTS and TOEFL, it serves as a self-assessment for them. Thirdly, the scorecards each student received gave detailed grades & areas of improvement, in each area of reading, speaking, writing & listening.
The participating students got a broader view of how English is assessed globally. The college in turn encouraged all students to keep going on this journey of self-improvement while taking a global business language seriously.
