With the notion of SERVICE BEFORE SELF in mind, on 27th February 2024, our ex-cadet JUO Shivansh Somvanshi (Batch 2020-2023) conducted a workshop for our NCC Cadets wherein he shared his experiences of the SSB interview and the tips and tricks which helped him crack it in his first attempt. Shivansh got recommended from 19 SSB-Allahabad 55th COURSE for NCC SPECIAL ENTRY and has secured ALL INDIA RANK 35.
The seminar was about all the different stages of the SSB Interview. The interview is conducted over a period of 05 days and is classified into 2 stages. He explained about the initial screen-in on day 01, consisting of OIR (Officer’s Rating Test), PPDT (Picture Perception and Discussion test) followed by Group Discussion. Shivansh highlighted the rules and gave some notes to our cdts. Stage 02 starts from the following which includes a Psychological Test, Group Tasks and Obstacles, Lectures, Group Planning Exercise, Interview, and the final conference. He gave a detailed account of the DOs and DON’Ts for SSB interviews. He also shared his experience. Later, Professor Dilip Shah, Rector, and Dean of BESC presented him with a memento in recognition of his achievement and also for counseling and motivating the cadets to opt for a career in the Armed Forces.
The Department of Film Studies organized a “Movie Month” in the month of May, to observe the International Workers’ Day. Stand-up comedy is a comic style in which a comedian performs in front of a live audience, usually speaking directly to them. Such a show was put up in the sixth floor auditorium on the 16th of January. The show was held at around 4:30 in the evening and went on till 6:00 p.m.
