Objective of the event:
To Celebrate Children’s Day to bring happiness and excitement to the children and foster a sense of community and social responsibility among NSS volunteers and participants.
Brief description of the event:
The NSS unit of The BESC celebrated Children’s Day on November 14, 2024, at Panch Darshiya Vidyalaya in the Tiljala slum. The NSS unit distributed educational stationery to children according to their needs, promoting learning and education. The celebration demonstrated the NSS unit’s commitment to outreach and community service, focusing on supporting vulnerable populations. Volunteers engaged with the children through interactive games, storytelling, and creative activities, promoting bonding and fun learning experiences
Outcome of the event: The event brought happiness and educational support to the children, fostering a sense of community and social responsibility.
An industrial visit was organized by the Department of Chemistry on 21.10.2022 and 22.10.2022 at the Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (presently it has two units with a total installed capacity of 500 MW (2×250 MW) located at Chandrapura, Bokaro. Workshop on TEDx. A workshop on TEDx was organised in the college on February 8, 2017. The idea was to help gain essential knowledge about the importance of such an organisation and how the students in Kolkata could help invent a TED branch in Kolkata.
