CHEM VOICE 2023 is an Inter-College Oral Presentation Competition by the “Peer Students” was organised by Department of Chemistry, associated with Seminar/FDP/Workshop Committee of the Science Section, in collaboration with IQAC, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata. This is the yearly event of the Dept. of Chemistry. A total of 11 groups from 9 different colleges along with our college enthusiastically took part in the competition, showcasing their exceptional skills and knowledge in various facets of chemistry.
The event was glorified by the presence of esteemed external judges from Jadavpur University, with their expertise and insights in the competition. The competition was met with very enthusiasm and commendation, both from the participating colleges and the judging panel. The high quality of presentations and the depth of knowledge exhibited by the participants received notable acclaim. This competition fostered a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration among students from diverse educational institutions.
The competition concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where the Department expressed appreciation to the participants. City College secured the 1st prize, with Bethune College as the 1st runner-up and Lady Brabourne College as the 2nd runner-up. Additionally, The Bhawanipur Education Society College received the Judge’s Choice award for the 2nd runner-up position. Following the event, external judges and students from other colleges shared their views on the program. Their feedback added valuable insights to the overall success of the competition. The credit for the success of the event is attributed to the dedicated coordinators, faculty members, and staff of the department. Their efforts ensured the smooth execution and positive outcome of the competition, making it a memorable and impactful experience for all involved.
The Bhawanipur College underwent a thorough evaluation by a team of three experts from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)—Dr. HPS Chauhan, Dr. Debal Dasgupta, and Dr. Snehal Donde—visited the institution.
