Objective of the event: To enlighten the students on the contemporary issues and inroads to the cutting edge technological field.
Brief description of the event: The third lecture in the Career Guidance Lecture Series was organized by the Department of Electronics in association with the IQAC and collaborated by the Seminar/Workshop/FDP Committee of the Science Section on 11-12-2024. The resource person was Dr. Subhrajit Sikdar, a postdoctoral fellow of the University of Sheffield, UK who deliberated on – Materials and devices for neuromorphic computing applications.The lecture was a healthy exploration of academic and industrial aspects of the current state-of-the-art neuromorphic applications targeted at developing very low power consuming electronic devices modeled on the efficient power handling capacity of human brain.
The session was well received by the audience who appreciated the content and deliverance of the speaker.
Outcome of the event: The audience both faculty members and students, were enlightened about the academic and industrial scopes and career opportunities in the field of neuromorphic computing applications as well as scopes in other related fields. The speaker also answered the enquiries of the students regarding the entry process in the top universities and institutions in the world and in India.
