On the 21st of February, the Department of Management of The Bhawanipur Education Society College conducted a Career Counselling session for the first- and second-year students of the department. The guest speaker for the day was Mr. Sujoy Kumar Dutta, a CAT topper, who spoke to the students about how they should prepare for competitive exam such as CAT and how they should approach their studies. He also gave some live demonstrations on how to solve some tricky sums and presented to the students the format as well as the marks divisions for all the components of CAT such as logical reasoning and data interpretation, verbal ability and conducted group discussion session.
Apart from CAT, the students were also given insights on other competitive exams such as MAT, SNAP, XAT, GMAT etc. The students were enlightened about the importance of General Knowledge in the application process for the top Business Schools. The 100+ students, who were presented took back some new learning as well as more guidance on their future. Prof. Kaushik Banerjee as well the Guest Speaker shared the success stories of some ex-students which acted as examples for the current students to follow.
The Event Management team members Thushar Venugopal and Khizir Jaffri structured the entire event along with team volunteers.
