The Bhawanipur Education Society College on September 4, 2014 came together for a very noble cause and executed it successfully. The Blood Donation Camp, which began with a pledge of saving thousands of lives saw 1005 people donating their blood for the precious cause. With huge participation from people of all ages, the camp has been one of the most memorable endeavors to be undertaken by the BESC.
Our cause was graced by the presence of celebrities like noted actor and television personality Mir, musician Bickram Ghosh, cricketer Devang Gandhi, actress Pallabi Chatterjee and several others who spoke extensively on the benefits of blood donation and why such camps are important to make up for the shortage of blood our state suffers from every year. The camp could only be successful due to the extensive work done by the students of BESC from organizing the camp to ensuring its full functionality on the day of the donation. We hope to organize such noble endeavors more often and do our bit in saving thousands of lives.
