Expression is an intrinsic phenomenon of human life. Our forms of expression often leave an indelible mark on the happenings in society. And expression doesn’t have any limitations. Its arena is broad as much as we can extend. The Bhawanipur Education Society College promotes this fundamental notion and hosted a selection for ‘Best out of waste’.
The selection was organised by Shreyoshi Paine and Adhrish Ghosh, representatives of Art in me Collective. It was conducted on 10th May, 2022, Tuesday, 10.20am onwards in Room number 112. Devangi Vora, a student of Semester IV B.com(H) supervised the event. The number of participants in the try out were two. One of them, namely, Bhavya Bhandari is in Semester II pursuing BA In Journalism and Mass Communication while Shruti Pradhan is a student of B. Com(H), Afternoon, who is currently in Semester IV. No particular topic was given to follow. Ms. Bhandari tried to create a wall hanging for decorative purpose using waste CD’s and old pictures. She also utilised some old left-over chart papers. Ms. Shruti tried her hand in making a handy storage purpose shelf using waste cardboards, chart papers and used plastic bottles. Both the competitors got their necessary stationery items.
The event was scheduled for an hour and the participants could finish their work well on time. They took photos with their respective art works.
The Street Play was held in the lawn in front of the Common Room. It was judged by Abhishek Bannerjee and Janardhan Ghosh. A total of five team had participated and each team consisted of eight to ten members. The topic allotted to them was Rape and accordingly the teams carried out their performances.
