“Arth-Unearth” first ever Economics fest of The Bhawanipur College was held on February 9, 2017 at the college premises. A platform for students from colleges across the city to explore the economic realm outside of textbooks and supply-demand graphs, to move out of the conventional ways of learning and apply classroom erudition to the practical world.The Fest encompasses a plethora of events.
The inaugural ceremony marked the opening of the Fest, in the presence of the chief guests, Mr. Pankaj Parekh (Chairman of the Indo Italian Association), and Mr. Mikhail Guesev (Depute and Acting Consulate General of Russia). Inaugural ceremony was preceded by a welcome speech by Prof. Dilip Shah. In his speech, he described how honoured he is to have the two brilliant chief judges amongst us and also spoke about the flow of the events. An act on Demonetisation was enacted by the Enact Society of the college soon after. Right after the performance, Dr. Sameer Dutta (HOD, Science Department) felicitated Mr. Pankaj Parekh and Mr. Mikhail Guesev. Students hailing from Ashutosh College, Lady Brabourne, Loreto College, Gokhale Memorial Girl’s College, JD Birla Institute and Bhawanipur College were observed participating in the events.
The program started with the 1st event called Paper presentation. Two rounds were played in turn with 10 mins each to showcase presentation. The next event was Panel Discussion in which three chief guests were invited to host the event along with the Director General of our College, Prof. Dr. Suman Mukerjee. The three chief guests were Ms. Mamta Binani, Mr. Dipanjan and Mr. Sen. They spoke about the provided topic (India 20/20) assuring the maintenance of the interest of the audience. Many other events flowed in sequence right after the other hailing from E Connect to Eco shots to Guesseconomics to Econundrum.
Finally, the prizes were awarded and winners were announced. The first position was secured by Loreto College whereas the second was occupied by Lady Brabourne College. As a form of celebration, a DJ night was organised at the end of the event for the college students. Thus, the event was not just successful but also memorable and educative. Therefore, on behalf of all the students, special thanks to the chief judges for their precious presence in our events. I am also extremely grateful to our Dean, Prof. Dilip Shah for his amazing guidance and constant support. Lastly, I am also thankful to the outstanding volunteers for their sheer hard work and dedication towards the event.

Fashionista collective organised a workshop ‘Fashion Clicks’ for the young fashion enthusiasts and photographers at the college campus. The newbies were taught the nitty-gritty of posing and styling from the seniors. The workshop commenced at 12noon and went on for two interactive hours. Fashion photography is fast paced and focuses on showcasing clothes and accessories. …
The Bhawanipur Education Society College received official confirmation of its accreditation with an A grade from NAAC, marking a collective achievement for the college community. To celebrate this milestone, on February 2, 2024, the management extended invitations to the entire Bhawanipur College fraternity, bringing together both institutions after the acquisition of NSHM College the previous …
