“DON’T CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY AS A HOLIDAY.. ” these were the words uttered by MOHAN DAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI who is known to us as ‘Father of the Nation’. On the eve of Mahatma Gandhi’s 146th birth anniversary the Enact Collective of Bhawanipur Education Society College decided to give a tribute to the father of the nation by acting out the episodes from his book “HIND SWARAJ”.
A team well led by Mr. Parnab Mukherjee , decided on visiting 12 different cities or rather landmarks where Gandhi had laid his footsteps which would end at the Sabarmati Ashram. The first episode was enacted on the 1st of October 2015 in the Common Room of Bhawanipur Education Society College where they acted out against the evils of today which bought out a whole new dimension making it interesting.
The skit was of about 35 minutes with the inclusion of beautiful classical music played which sparkled the act. This was followed by an audition session which went on for an hour. The Tribute that will end on the banks of Sabarmati River.
